Happy second birthday, EMP!! 2 years in the books, a lot more to go. Part of me can’t believe I’ve made it this far, while another part of me feels like it’s already been a lifetime. If you’ve been following along, you’ve seen the updates that I’m going to be releasing more frequent, shorter episodes because, let’s face it, we have a lot more work to do! Enough business though, let’s get to the fun stuff!
To celebrate this momentous occasion, I invited a super special guest to talk with me. She is someone who I’ve known for a long time, someone who I admire in a lot of ways, someone who never fails to encourage me when I need a confidence boost, and my bff. Welcome, Aimee! I got so excited about having Aimee on the show that I forgot to have her introduce herself to those who are listening. So, a few things you should know about her are: we became friends during our sophomore year of high school; we are both from Everett, Washington and Aimee still lives there; Aimee is a police officer by day, and by night she’s a proud cat-mom to her cat, Yodi. Also, Aimee is easily the funniest person I know and has the best laugh, so get ready to laugh along with us!
I wanted this episode to be all about having fun because that’s why I started this show – to talk about important topics and have fun doing it. So today’s conversation is all about having fun, giving helpful suggestions as we continue to live in isolation, and, like I said, lots of laughter. We also happened to record this on EARTH DAY, which was super exciting for a hippie like me. We’re chatting about books and shows we like, recipes to try, healthy habits to start practicing, things you can do for the planet (since it is Earth Day after all), and our favorite memories of each other.
Something else I share today is that for every review I receive on iTunes/Apple Podcasts, I am going to be donating $2 of my very own money to two super awesome organizations. Pretty cool, right? If you can sacrifice one minute of your time to write a review, you can help me to help others! Let’s see how much money we can give away! If you need instructions on how to write a review, view the link in the notes below.
